BunnyBunny.fi is a Finland-based online store created for people who enjoy discovering Japanese and Korean snacks, drinks, sweets, ramen, sauces, and small everyday finds.

We are not a big supermarket, and we are not trying to be everything for everyone. BunnyBunny started from something much simpler: a shared love for Japanese and Korean food culture, and the feeling that these products should be easier, more fun, and more natural to find in Finland.

A Conversation That Started with K-Dramas, K-Pop and Anime

Before BunnyBunny.fi, we had already spent many years working in retail-related businesses. We understood products, customers, shelves, trends, and the small details that make people come back for something again.

One day, a casual conversation started with Korean dramas and K-pop. Then it moved on to Japanese dramas, anime, favourite characters, comfort food scenes, and finally — snacks and drinks.

The more we talked, the more we realised we shared the same thought.

Finland already has many great Asian food products, especially Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese groceries. Those products are important, familiar, and loved by many people. But when it came to Japanese and Korean snacks, candies, biscuits, chocolates, drinks, sauces, noodles, and cute food-related items, the selection still felt limited.

There were so many things we wished were easier to find here. Snacks you see in a K-drama. Drinks from a convenience store vlog. Cute Japanese sweets that feel almost too nice to open. Spicy ramen that everyone online seems to be talking about. Small products that are not necessarily fancy, but somehow make everyday life a little more fun.

So we asked ourselves a simple question:

“Maybe we should just open the shop we were looking for.”

That was the beginning of BunnyBunny.fi.

The Snack Shop We Wanted to Find in Finland

From the start, BunnyBunny was built around a very clear idea: to bring a more focused selection of Japanese and Korean snacks to Finland.

We wanted to create a place where customers could find products that feel exciting, recognisable, and easy to enjoy. Not only basic groceries, but also the small treats people actually talk about, share with friends, bring to movie nights, or keep in a snack drawer at home.

Why BunnyBunny? Why not ChickenChicken?

Well, choosing the name took much longer than expected.

During the preparation stage, we went through many ideas. Some sounded too serious. Some sounded too generic. Some simply did not feel right.

Then one day, while we were still thinking about the name, my dog came over with her favourite bunny toy, asking me to play.

“That’s it. Bunny.”

“BunnyBunny sounds better.”

“Okay.”

And somehow, that was the name that stayed.

P.S. Luckily, the original bunny toy survived the naming process and did not end up in four pieces.

The name BunnyBunny reminds us not to take everything too seriously. Snacks are not meant to be complicated. They are small moments of comfort, curiosity, fun, and sometimes a little surprise. That feeling is something we want to keep in the store.
